Spring fishing in Homosassa is always great and this year is no exception. While we have been pulling in our limits of Trout and the Spanish Mackerel are everywhere, we are now enjoying the catch of our magrating Cobia. I like to fish the outside rock piles in 15 to 20 feet of water, put out some chum and see what the tide brings in. We have been enjoying a mixed bag catch! While we wait on our Cobia to catch the scent and travel in we pass the time pulling in all sizes of Spanish Mackerel, Sea Trout, Blue Fish and Sharks. Here is 17 year old Jackson’s catch from last weekend. The charter was a birthday present from his Dad, and nice catch Jackson! The Cobia will be here throughout May and June, so give me a call and let’s go catch a big one!
