Captain Leo Riddle
Captain Leo Riddle has forty years of experience fishing throughout the Eastern and Southern United States, and has especially enjoyed his 25 years of fishing the beautiful Homosassa waters. Capt. Leo has done promotional work for major fishing and boat companies such as Ranger Boats, Evinrude Motors, Lowrance, Pflueger, and Burke Lures. He is currently on the Guide Staff of St. Croix Rods. Captain Leo is the founder of The Polk County Bass and Snook Club and the Winter Haven Bass Club. He has also written many fishing articles for various magazines and newspapers. Capt. Leo is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and commercially insured. He is a member of The National Association of Charter Boat Operators, (NACO) and the Coastal Conservation Association(CCA).
Captain Leo offers a choice of two boats depending on your fishing needs. He skippers “Runn’n Shallow” a fully rigged 20-foot Tunnel Hull Flats Boat powered by a 140 Nissan. This boat is equipped with a poling platform, an 8 ‘ Power Pole “shallow water anchor” and a Motor Guide “wireless” trolling motor. You’ll have a smooth, dry ride that takes the chop while going shallow at the same time. The hull runs in as little as 6 inches of water and will take you where the fish go.
For larger parties or to fish over the grassy flats or deeper holes and rocks Captain Leo also offers a 23-foot Hurricane Deck boat powered by a 115 Yamaha 4-stroke. This boat provides a roomy, comfortable ride with a canopy top to provide shade from the hot summer sun. This boat also proves to be the perfect vessel for scalloping tours as well as sight seeing and photo charters.
